The Beach Hut

Holyhead Bed and Breakfast | Cafe | Bistro

Nestled in Marine Square, just off Newry Beach in Holyhead, the Beach Hut Holyhead offers a warm welcome to both B&B guests and bistro diners. Open throughout the day from Wednesday to Sunday, and in the evenings on Fridays and Saturdays*, the Beach Hut Holyhead serves tasty and satisfying meals, using only the best local produce.* See our current opening hours.

Above the bistro, four cosy ensuite rooms are available for holidaymakers or a one night stop-over for guests catching the ferry to Ireland, making this the perfect base for a holiday or short stop-over on Anglesey. Whether you want to wander and enjoy the spectacular views along Newry Beach, or you intend to get some serious walking in along the Isle of Anglesey Coastal Path, the Beach Hut Holyhead is ideal for both short breaks and longer stays, or simply for a spot of lunch during the day.

Hosts Howard and Jason pride themselves on sourcing superb local produce for their bistro, from prime Anglesey meat to locally-caught fish and fresh, seasonal vegetables and the finest Welsh cheeses. All meals are freshly cooked to order, and the menu changes weekly.

If you’re thinking of visiting Anglesey, Holyhead is a great place to stay, offering plenty to see and do. From the miles of unspoilt, golden beaches to historic gems such as Beaumaris and beautiful spots like South Stack Lighthouse and RSPB reserve and the Breakwater County Park, Holyhead has so much to offer. With the Beach Hut Holyhead as your base, you’re bound to enjoy a fabulous holiday on the island of Anglesey exploring sights such as Rhosneiger, Cemaes, Almwch and Treardurr Bays, Plas Cadnant Hidden Gardens and Plas Newydd.

What Our Guests Say

"Friendly relaxed stay"

September 2007

We love the five star hospitality, friendlyness, food, service and price was excellent. We have to say this place really cheered us up after the chaos on M6 and we really wish the owners our very best wishes and thanks.

"We will be back!"

September 2007

We live on Anglesey but don't often go for lunch in Holyhead because the choice of establishments is a bit limited, but today we found the Beach Hut. What can I say, we will be back. The food was lovely, all freshly prepared and delicious using quality produce, the owners and staff were very warm and welcoming and nothing too much trouble.
