We live on Anglesey but don't often go for lunch in Holyhead because the choice of establishments is a bit limited, but today we found the Beach Hut. What can I say, we will be back. The food was lovely, all freshly prepared and delicious using quality produce, the owners and staff were very warm and welcoming and nothing too much trouble.
Just before I came to Wales, I had high tea at a well established Gallery in London. And, well The Beach Hut Holyhead was, in my humble opinion absolutely sublime, and far better than my London experience. From the welcoming staff and glass of wine to the delicious food provided. I thoroughly enjoyed my afternoon in such a cosy and happy environment. I look forward to visiting again soon.
Stayed over the weekend and cannot rate this place highly enough.
All staff were polite , professional and tremendously friendly. Our room was clean and cosy with the best view over the harbour to wake up to.
Highlights of our short stay and our over riding memories are of the superb meals/food prepared and served here . Particularly the proud Welsh breakfast.
The island itself is stunning and The Beach Hut made a great base for our weekend adventures , big thank you to all staff involved......Enter Review Text...
The nicest owners! You'll feel very welcome here. I didn't want to leave and I wish I had planned for at least an entire day here. The best sleep I've had in ages! 9 solid hours and I don't think I moved. Nice HOT shower this morning. The wifi is fast, never lost a connection. The rooms are clean & cozy. It's an easy walk to or from the ferries and trains. If you think it's closed, that's just the cafe part. I got here after the cafe closed on Sunday but one of the owners saw me and helped me to my room. They live right there on the first floor so just knock. I don't usually eat breakfast but it was available if I wanted it. Since I love the ocean and poking around ancient ruins, I wish I'd had time to go walk around this beautiful place and take the 10 minute drive to South stack to see the 2500 year old stone hut ruins. I hope I get to come back someday. They said I could bring my little dog too . If they let me come back. I accidentally left my room key in my pocket this morning and discovered it on the train. I'll overnight it to them when I get to London. Sorry about that!
Of course you're welcome back Lisa - it's very easily done, and at least you returned it :) Howard (Owner)
My mom and I had a fabulous dinner here on Friday night. We had the three course dinner and it was delicious - especially Jason's Black Forest gateau! It was so warm and inviting and Jason and Howard are wonderful. Jason spent time with us despite having other guests and even helped give us ideas of what to do during our stay in Holyhead. Make sure to stop in here, you won't be disappointed.
I thought the Beach Hut was fantastic. The owners are incredibly sweet and make you feel welcomed into their home. The rooms are really comfortable, with tea and coffee available and access to the TV. Each room also has an ensuite, which is wonderfully convenient. And in the morning, you can expect a truly lovely Welsh breakfast of beans, toast, sausage, bacon, eggs, and cereal and of course tea and coffee. Overall one of the nicest places I've stayed
Ohhhh what a beautiful little gem we came across while visiting Holyhead. Very welcoming friendly place, we stopped for a brew and a light lunch, the staff couldn't do enough for us had a lovely chat with the owners. This place will go far very relaxed and homely food was amazing would highly recommend and all home cooked
Went here with a few work colleagues for lunch and we all loved it. We pre ordered as we only have an hour for lunch and this was no problem, food was served to us just a couple of mins after arriving and we all really enjoyed it. Lovely staff, lovely food and lovely atmosphere, needless to say we will be returning!
I love it here , I’ve had a delicious full breakfast and been in for a light lunch a few times . Staff are so friendly and helpful and new owners seem lovely. I’ll definitely continue to frequent this lovely place!
